Whats a good and cheap electric guitar should i buy?

Posted by admin on January 29th, 2010

Well i have nevered experience guitar in my life and i wanna get into rock music and i dont want to start off with an acoustic. but whats a good electric guitar thats like less thatn 200 dollars

You could do a lot worse than a Squier for an entry level electric guitar. However, I can’t say I recommend starting out with an electric. Find someone that already plays, whom you trust, and visit a few music stores together.

what kind of acoustic guitar should I buy?

Posted by admin on January 29th, 2010

My husbands birthday is tomorrow and I want to buy him an acoustic guitar. I have no idea what kind I should buy so can any one offer any suggestions for a guitar in the price range of around $500

There are a lot of brands you can search for online. If you really want a good one, you want to buy from the well known brands.

Im pretty sure fender and gibson make acoustic guitars.
They also make electric guitars and other instruments.

Some of the guitar can be pretty expensive but a lot of pro guitarists use them.

What are good brands of electric and bass guitars?

all good ones and r the not known one good too

Jackson soloist with the 3 pickup configuration,by far my favorite guitar. But it will set you back 2 grand unless you are good at talking the salesman down.I paid $1400 for the last one I bought. The other guitarist in my band plays a Carvin, sweet guitar and serious value sounds way better than any modern strat,at about half the price. He paid $600,but he is good at talking the salesman down to.If you google Carvin, you should be able to sign up for a catalog, see they make the guitar customized to your specs. You can’t go wrong with them.As for basses my old bass player had a Fender Jazz, awesome bass, but he put a lot of $ into modifications to get it that way.He also had a Stingray, pretty cool but expensive.I use a neck thru Ibanez cost me $600,and it can rumble the floors with that Fender Jazz,or get the highs the Stingray can,but its a jack of all trades, you know what i mean?

What are good acoustic songs to play on guitar?

Posted by admin on January 29th, 2010

I just got a sicknastyyyyy acoustic guitar recently, and don’t know any good songs to play on it. Im pretty good at guitar so any suggestions are fine.

I would advise some Barely Breathing and She Runs Away by Duncan Sheik, and perhaps Won’t Stop by OneRepublic. I would also suggest Collide by Howie Day.

What equipment do i need to set up a home recording studio?

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2010

Im trying to record my demo cd out of my home and need to know from a to z, everything i will need in order to get me going. tHnx PPL =]

Well, You need:
1- A computer
2- A DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
3- An Interface (I/0 input/ output)
4- A Microphone
5- Cables
This is your minimum to make your Demo.

A DAW is the program you use to record and mix your songs. A few examples are, Sonar, Cubase, Logic…There’s a free one called Audacity, although it’s not a true DAW, and isn’t gonna give you as good results.

The interface is a box that allows you to connect your Mic’s and instruments so that you can route that audio to your computer.

For Recording use a Studio Condensor Mic, Maybe as inexpensive as $50.

If you want to make your own Demo’s then you’re gonna need to invest at least some $.

Assuming you already have a computer, then If you look for things used, or online, you can probably get all you need for $250 or so, or maybe less.

What kind of musical instruments produce sound readily associated with gloom and sorrow?

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2010

When these instruments play, you know that the mood is sad, melancholic and sorrowful. I’m rearranging some music, and employing such would improve the atmosphere of the music. I know harps are one of them. What are the others?

Cello for sure. I always use it to score sad parts of films, yet I find it’s sounds to be beautiful.

What is the best free online guitar tutor?

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2010

Literally, I’m starting from scratch. I know a few chords, and can string together a basic rhythm, but really.. At the moment, I can’t do much more than look at a guitar. There are a million guitar websites — any recommendations for a free online guitar tutoring website?

There is a website: http://www.rockmystrings.com – It is the best website. I used it and now I am on MTV sometimes.
