Check it out at any good music stores online like zzsounds or music123. Save your money, the whole package bass, amp and accessories will cost less than 400 shipped! The bass sounds great with perfect tone and the fret board is fast. It would make a great instrument for a begginner or a pro. I highly recomend you check out an Epi LP special bass! I would suggest either an American made P-Bass or J-Bass. You'll have either one for life, and they get better with age. The Geddy Lee Jazz bass is also great, and uniformly loved.
