Are you joking? Every cheap bass I’ve ever bought was awful. They all have horrendous action which you will NEVER be able to fix. If you’re gonna play something, buy the most expensive instrument you can afford because 1. You will not have problems with your action
2. You will sound a of a lot better than getting some cheap rubbish.
3. If you decide the instrument is not for you, you will get a better price for it if you choose to re sell it
Buy the best you can afford.

1. Dont go too expensive or too cheap.
Ibanez has some great starter bass for around $200.00. If you go cheaper, you might regret it unless you find a good used deal. 2Get somethin that is playable. You will get discouraged if you get something that is too hard to play, or is not correct and wont stay in tune.Shop smart and get advice. Find one that feels right to you. Afterall, it will be something you have to live with for a while. Make sure its the right something!

I learned 72 guitar …
I learned 72 guitar chord finger positions on an old guitar neck that wasnt even connected to a body. Use the top 4 strings of the guitar to teach yourself and when you finally get a bass….your gonna be ready!

Thank you very much for this video, it’s very useful. I’ll be starting my bass lessons when school starts, but I don’t have enough money to buy one yet, and I don’t think I’ll be able to save enough until then. But I already have an acoustic guitar, a western, and I was wondering if there’s any problem if I don’t have a bass at the beginning. I mean, I’ll be starting from zero. But hell, the point is… can I exercise with my acoustic guitar for the beginning? Or do I desperately need a bass?

you are good at …
you are good at gettin your ideas across. It’s just a shame that your playing isnt great. Don’t mean that in a spiteful way, I just mean that if you polish up yr own playing you could be really popular. I’m not saying you cant play, but your playin sounds sort of like mine did after less than a year of playing.
I know you’ll disagree, but hey – that’s my opinion and I have been playing guitar and bass guitar for 14 years now.
Saying that,I do think it was a good lesson for beginner players.
