Why do classical musicians hate bass guitars?
bass guitars March 12th, 2010I know the bass guitar is not used in classical music, but why all the hate? Do they not like other forms of music?
I don’t think they really hate it
The bass guitar wasn’t invented till the 1950’s (I think)
So it has never been used in classical music

How many times are you going to ask this?
Give a a link to ANY classical musician that hates bass,
or are you just making it up?
What "time frame" are you referring to?
So far, all you have is a rant, not a real question?
The "bass guitar" did NOT exist before approx 1950, when Leo built the first production "bass guitar" for the general public.
And bass amps didn’t exist before that?
If you want to see "hate"
Look at how most of the metal rockers talk about classical music.

It seems to me, like you are generalizing on hundreds of thousands of musicians,
based on one "comment" that you "may have heard?
