Is it a good choice to buy Yamaha FX370 Acoustic Guitar?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010

I have trouble deciding if a Yamaha FX370 acoustic guitar is a good choice to buy. Im trying to find a guitar that I can use for concerts and jamming sessions. I have limited budget. Can you give me reviews or opinion about this guitar?

Thanks a lot :)

I think Yamaha guitars are great, I’ve had one for over thirty years and it’s like a fine wine, it got better with age, I have four guitars, from Cordoba to Gibson, and an acoustic Yamaha. But if I’m practicing with a record I use my old classical Yamaha, the tone is so close to the very expensive one….it’s amazing how that guitar still sounds so good… and thirty years ago it only costs $125.00 believe it or not, the Cordoba was $900.00 and the old Yamaha sounds just as good. !!!!!!!

August Rush Acoustic Guitar Slap

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010

I felt inspired when I saw August rush..
This is just my little version of what she (kaki king) is playing.

This version isn’t supposed to sound like what you hear in the film, since i didn’t use delay.

I also learned this song very quickly. i jammed for about an hour before i came up with a version i liked.

This is my own little version, so don’t expect it to sound perfect either.

The tuning is
open c
so from low to high it’s
c,g,c,e,g,c.

leave some comments and tell me what you think.

Should i buy an acoustic or a classical guitar??

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010

I love old music, The Beatles, Dylan, Cat Stevens, etc… and i want to buy a guitar to play my favorite songs, i’m a beginner, i haven’t played guitar before, should i buy an acoustic or a classical guitar??and is there a sound difference between them??

Much appreciated..

The difference is that an acoustic has steel strings rather than nylon or gut strings. THere are also technical differences in the structure of the guitars and the nature of the sound.

Get a steel string guitar – you will be happier with it for what you want to be playing.
