I want a Peavey 6505+ head with an EVH 5150 III cab, but the head is 120 Watts and the cab is 100 watts. Would it be possible to fix them together?
you can do, but as a rule of thumb the amp should be max 2/3rds of the max power rating of the speakers, to avoid any damage.
just be careful not to turn the amp over 3/4 of the way up, or you can get a hot plate from most companies which act as an attentuator and allow the amp to be run at full (giving you all of that lovely distortion) but the speakers only see a percentage of the juice!

My friend is getting herself a guitar, and she wanted a portable electric one. So, she has two basic questions.
-Do Smokey Amps or smaller amps like that one come with the cable to connect to the guitar, or does she have to buy it separately?
-How do you connect a Smokey Amp to the guitar? Is it the same as any other amp, or are there different instructions?
Well, to answer your questions:
-Sadly, they don’t come with the cable, you have to buy that yourself… sorry…
-Yeah, you connect it through an input on the bottom of the amp just like a normal amp.
Hope this helped!

a friend once told me that if you remove the back panel from your marshall amp you will find that it is signed by the workers and the workers are all women is that true? I have A MG 100 series.
Only for custom shop, hand built and wired models. The MG is a mass-produced, lower budget version of a Marshall made on an assembly line by machines. You will not likely find it hand signed.
As far as it being all women, that is not true. Marshall is an Equal Oportunity Employer.

I would leave the car running but if I got the inverter is it probable to jam like this?
how big of a generator would you recomend?
A quiet running gas generator will be a better tool. The standard 20 amp auto alternator will need replacing because it will never put out the amps you need without bypassing the voltage regulator. The price of the inverter will be close to the generator. The buzz from the gen set can be overcome with a carbon spark cable and shielded extent ion cord.I did this for many years and you just can not beat the gas gen set.We used to play at the end of the runway, mountain tops, and pack everything in.

What do you think about these amps? Which one if any would you recomend. Any other infoo on them would really be aprishiated. If you have an amp you recomend over these not to far out of this price range that would be cool. I like them because of the effects and the price, so what do you think?
10 hours ago – 3 days left to answer.
I have purchased the Bass amps from Musiciansfriend and they turned out good:However, when it comes to guitar amps I use Marshal 4 stack with a 300Watt RMS head and a pre-amp. Go with the best and your money you spend will be worth every penny of it on Marshal equipment. Listen to the Gibson Les Paul plugged into a Marshal Amp> http://www.garageband.com/song?|pe1|S8LTM0LdsaSlZFW-ZGk
The sustaining power is totally awesome and I used no distortion petals.

well, i am going to perform live, (acoustic guitar and me singing solo) and i was wondering what i need. I know that i need an amp for my guitar, but what do i need to plug into for a mic? should i get a mixer? what do the professionals do? i need help. what can i get to sound good as a solo artist?
This is tough to answer because there are a lot of choices and a lot of variables, but you will probably need a PA of some kind.
A very basic setup would include: A microphone, a microphone stand, a mic cable, an amplifier for the PA, speaker cable(s) and a speaker or more than one speaker.
The bigger the room, the louder you will need the PA to be.
There are many ‘all-in-one’ PAs on the market that will work for a solo acoustic set at a smaller venue. Check out this page: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Live-Sound-Packages-Live-Sound-Gear.gc
The price will range from about $200 to $2,000 or more depending on what you want out of it.
For a really small gig, a small 4 channel compact PA like the Squier by Fender, Phonics, or Harbinger H80 will probaby work fine and they cost less than $400.
The pros use the best equipment available and have highly skilled technicians running that equipment. But what they have is essentially the same as what you will have in a smaller version.
I hope this answer helped. Best of luck to you!

I am in a band that just started. Is there a website where I can get amps for relatively cheap?
ebay is the best, or an actual auction
garage sales
friends, family, strangers may be willing to sell you theirs

I’m not looking for hybrids. I’m also open to other models but I do dig the Marshall tone.
You can go a combo amp, or a stack head. Both would be in the 1700-1800 range. Tube amps are not cheap especially when you want the "Marshall tone," I would also suggest looking at "Orange Amps" They are about the same price as a marshall.
Combo:
Marshall JVM205C 50 Watt All-Tube 2×12 Combo guitar amplifier
Head:
Marshall 1987XL 50 Watt All-Tube Plexi Head Amplifier

How do you play one guitar on 2 amps? Or 2 guitars on one amp, for that matter?
it can be trickier than it sounds to get the best sound don’t just use a splitter. Try and A-B-Y stomp box so you can select either amp alone or both together. if you just use a Y splitter you can get alot of feedback and grounding issues, it could also cause your whole rig to be out of phase and you’ll get a very low and thin sounding sound. here is a link to one of the best you can get it’s a little pricy but you can find others that will work.
