Save and get the amp you want. If you’re like me, in 2 years you’ll probably want something completely different! FWIW, the AC30 model on the AD30 is actually really good.

Not as easily as it would with high output humbuckers but with the master volume you can get a decent brake up with single coils at lower volumes.

Marshall = …
Marshall = metal sh*t (I don’t care)
Vox = everything else, even jazz on the normal channel
pop, rock, blues are all welcome. Just add a good overdrive pedal like a Tubescreamer to give a little more breakup or boost your solos, a I do with my CC2 and CC2X
October 31st, 2009 at 8:00 pm
I have both the …
I have both the CC2X and the CC2 and the former is 100 times better. Much more mids, warmer, fatter tone.
And yes, the reverb is horrible, I use a MultiFX Processor in the FX Loop for that

the way i see it …
the way i see it vox has a lot nicer cleans. they both sound british and they both have a good crunch sound, but marshall is a better for hi gain stuff. i prefer the new vox stuff over the new marshall stuff, but i prefer the old marshall stuff to the old vox stuff. its not that the old vox is bad (actually its quite good). the new marshall stuff does not sound good at all to me though.
