If you want a good reliable and affordable amp right out of the box. I would go with any of the line 6 amp models. They start at around 200 and go upwards…..The effects are included onboard the amps efx processor and there are enough things to keep you occupied and get the desired tone you need.

Setting them up is much easier than other amps i have encountered.

Where….Musiciansfriend,Guitar Center for best prices
for knowledgeable info a local non chain music store

What…(solid state are cheaper than tube but the sound is sometimes weak and bland)
Peavey….good all around
Vox….I have one of their trans tube models that has a power tube…an inexpensive hybrid that will give you a somewhat "tube" sound
Marshall….my little 10watt sounds decent
fender….can’t go wrong with them

I would recommend the Marshall MG-10CD

It’s a 10w guitar combo with 6” speaker very good quality and very durable.

a line 6 spider lll is only 199 and it comes with all sorts of effect

this website is the best place to buy anything to do with music I would recommend buying a good solid amp because its best to buy an amp that will last long than to have to buy one every year I would say that the best amp to buy would be a Marshall, Fender or Vox I would especially recommend this amp

I would most certainly reccomend the Brand name Ibanez.
They aren’t a huge name like Fender or Gibson, but the quaility is up there with those two for a much much lower price. prices range from 100 to infinity with amps and guitars so if you are in the 200-500 price range for a guitar and amp then ibanez is the way to go. as for exact models and such. You should go into a music store such as Guitar Center and figure out what feels right for you. Think of it as learning wich wand is for you in Harry Potter haha.
